 Thanks to Soundworks Touring for media pass, HM were among a sold out Sydney crowd and a legendary death metal band CARCASS with supports coming from hardcore thrashers Daysend. Not since the year 9 science class did I see so much gore and guts so up close. Well, that’s not exactly true, my recent fishing trip produced a fair amount of grotesque parts. You know you are in for a hell of a ride when the lead singer introduces what he labels the latest material coming from their 1996 release Swansong. A lot of classic material was covered. SMiM writes "Black metal bands ICICLAN (Tas) and WARDAEMONIC (WA) have announced a co-headlining Australia tour this August/September. The 5 gig tour takes in Adelaide (Aug 29th), Melbourne (Aug 30th), Hobart (Sept 3rd), Canberra (Sept 5th) and Sydney (Sept 6th).
Also joining the bands for the Melbourne date will be Tasmanian Black Metallers MEPHISTOPHELES in their first interstate gig in 2 years.

Unquestionably one of the most important , influential & well favoured metal bands of our time, CARCASS have reformed in 2008 to perform at several prestigious metal festivals throughout Europe. Soundworks Touring is incredibly excited & honoured to announce that CARCASS will be performing in Australia to “Reek” havoc on our Carcass starved souls for the first time in 15 years!

| TESTAMENT: September Dates Confirmed! MORTAL SIN To Support. |

West Coast thrash metal legends, TESTAMENT, are set to return to Australia to play a trio of dates at the end of September, hitting the cities of Brisbane, Melbourne, and Sydney in support of their latest release "The Formation of Damnation". Australian metal acts Anarchsphere, State of Integrity, Picture the End, and MORTAL SIN will perform in support.
Testament’s latest studio release, "The Formation of Damnation", was released on April 29th and made the JB Hi Fi Top 40!!
The band is back with the original lineup, featuring vocalist Chuck Billy, guitarists Eric Peterson and Alex Skolnick, bassist Greg Christian, and drummer Paul Bostaph.

British heavy metal legends JUDAS PRIEST will bring their mammoth Priest Feast 2008 tour to Australian fans in September.
The Priest Feast tour will showcase the band's hugely impressive legacy as well as new tracks from its forthcoming album "Nostradamus", which will be released in Australia by Sony BMG on June 14.
JUDAS PRIEST will be joined by special guests CAVALERA CONSPIRACY and Australia's own DAYSEND.

| MAYHEM OZ/NZ Tour Postponed To Later In 2008. |

lukelord writes "Due to the recent amendments of the entertainment visa requirements set by the Australian Immigration Department, MAYHEM will not be able to get their relevant visas approved in time for their scheduled Australian and NZ tour dates.
As a result, tour promoter Just Say Rock in conjunction with Mayhem, have decided to postpone the tour to later this year.
Both parties, along with the Immigration Department, are now working on new dates for the Mayhem tour. The new dates will be released ASAP.
All current purcahsed tickets will be valid for the new dates (once they are announced) it has been revealed."

According to a press release by Chris Maric from RIOT Entertainment, legendary thrashers TESTAMENT will be returning to Australia in September of this year.
