| MORTAL SIN: Classic Remastered Albums Soon Available. |
Vocalist Mat Maurer has issued the following update via MORTAL SIN official MySpace regarding the availability of "Mayhemic Destruction" and "Face Of Despair" remastered editions:
"Well peoples, on October 29th we finally take delivery of the long awaited re-release of our first two albums "Mayhemic Destruction" and "Face of Despair". Its been a long and painful journey to finally get these in our hands. "Mayhemic Destruction" has been remastered and includes six bonus live tracks from our 1990 tour with TESTAMENT in Germany. "
"Face of Despair" has also been remastered and includes three bonus demo tracks including one never before heard song. Add on top of these our new album finally being released in Europe on November 16, and you will see that MORTAL SIN has been very busy over the last few months. Geez we also have some new "An Absence of Faith" T-shirts coming very soon too - we'll hopefully have all the new stock on sale at our next gig in Wollongong - otherwise check out our website www.mortalsin.com.au for new merchandise soon."
"For people who ordered MD and FOD a while back we'll be packing orders and sending them off in the first week of November."
"Now... Let's just get some tour dates organised and hopefully we'll finally get to see you on the road somewhere."

| Jane Schuldiner Brought To Tears By An Aussie Fan. |
Jane Schuldiner, mother of late DEATH legend Chuck Schuldiner has issued this message to fans:
"Dear Fans, I have received emails telling me that it has been a long time since I have been in touch. Life has been hectic and I remain busy working. My computer is so slow I don't like to go onto the internet very much, so I'm going to get Roadrunner so I can be more motivated to get my emails and answer faster. Also, as much of you know, I have moved and rented a PO box for my mail until I settled into my new address, which I finally am. So you can now write to me at my home address, which I will give you at the end of this message.”
”I want to thank you all for your continued support, all the emails remembering Chuck and sharing memories with me. You really have enriched my life. One fan from Australia sent me an absolutely wonderful portrait of Chuck, painted on canvass. When I took the wrappings off it I was in tears, it was just like looking into Chuck's face. His sister and nephew felt the same. I have it in the living room on an antique easel where I can look at it everyday. This time of year I always dread, the holidays and another December 13th. I look forward to having the consolation of so many of you remembering that day with me and I am so thankful for that. It still seems so near, that time. Not long at all. Take care and I look forward to hearing from you.”

| CARCASS To Reunite For W:O:A 2008. |
Death Metal legends CARCASS have announced that they will reunite for Wacken Open Air festival next year, set to run from July 31st to August 2nd. Also on the bill will be KREATOR, IRON MAIDEN, CHILDREN OF BODOM, SONATA ARCTICA and AVANTASIA. Jeff Walker (Bass/vocals) commented:
“Well, they said it would never happen. In fact I said it would never happen. Then I noticed no one pays attention to what I say anyway and I sounded like an idiot…"
"Summer 2008 will be the twentieth anniversary since the release of CARCASS‘ first studio album. It will be fourteen years since we last played live. We’ve decided to exhume the old corpse next Summer at Wacken. The timing is purely coincidental - it’s been a long journey to get to this point where myself, Bill Steer and Mike Amott have enough common desire again to make it possible. We’re finally conceding to the demand that seems to be at an all time high and doesn’t appear to be going away any time soon. Any past reasons we may have had for not wanting to do it, or thinking it was impossible, have simply dissipated in the face of overwhelming interest in us performing THOSE riffs for a generation of believers who never had the opportunity back in the day. We could say we’re doing it for ‘the kids’ - but fuck that ! We’re doing it ‘cos it will be fun again to play the classic CARCASS tunes !! Of course it would seem inappropriate for us to contemplate to do this without Ken Owen, but I assure you he’ll be there, and we’ll push some sticks in his hands and make him play, plus we’ll have a killer drummer to sit in and play HIS parts."
"Myself Jeff Walker on bass and vocals, ‘the semi-legendary’ Bill Steer and Mike Amott on lead guitar and Daniel Erlandsson, filling in for Ken on drums, look forwards to mutilating your hearing."
"And if we don’t do it? Who else will overshadow the LED ZEPPELIN reunion? Ha! Prepare to rot and roll.”
