The Festival in 2008 moves indoors for one year only from the 22nd to the 23rd of March, 2008 at The Manning Bar in Sydney. Festival organisers have committed to taking the event back outdoors from 2009 and beyond.

SMiM writes "Legendary Norwegian Black Metallers IMMORTAL are set to tour Australia and New Zealand for the first time in the bands 17 year career.
Dates announced as follows:

March 15 @ The Metro Theatre, Sydney
March 20 @ Transmission Room, Auckland

| DECAPITATED Drummer Dies From Road Collision Injuries. |
|

|
 Drummer Witold "Vitek" Kieltyka of the Polish metal band DECAPITATED passed away at 23 years of age in a Russian hospital from injuries sustained in a recent road collision.
Vitek and DECAPITATED singer Covan (Adrian Kowanek) were injured in an accident earlier in the week involving DECAPITATED's tour bus and a truck carrying wood in Gomel. Both musicians sustained serious head injuries.
According to Onet.pl, Vitek underwent surgery in which a hole is drilled into the skull, and was due to be transported to a hospital in Krakow, Poland for further treatment.
Covan's family released a statement on Thursday, November 1 that the vocalist's condition had improved.
DECAPITATED have issued a statement regarding the death of their drummer Witold "Vitek" Kieltyka who passed away on November 2nd:
"Witold "Vitek" Kieltyka – our brother and dearest friend succumbed to head injuries sustained after a bad van accident while on tour in Russia. He was 23.
One of the youngest and most promising drummers in the genre, together with Decapitated he has consistently released albums both crushing and invigorating in their musicianship. Extremely talented – he has been involved in other side projects: DIES IRAE, PANZER X. He will be missed and can not be replaced.
The metal scene will be much sorrier with his passing…"
