I want to find out, what you guys see as a real solid deathmetal bass and relevant techniques....
Ill use myself as an example...
i play melodic death, i use alot of slapping, popping and tapping... i refuse to use a pick, and i play with 3fingers mostly.... i mix the slapping with fast finger playing.
i would say my style is somewhere between ryan martinie and alex webster

Gorguts were a death metal band (predominantly in the 90's) who defied all convention and wrote abstract dissonant metal that remains unparalleled.
